Jed Mercurio’s work has achieved award wins/nominations at the Golden Globes, Emmys, BAFTAs, Royal Television Society, Broadcasting Press Guild and Writers’ Guild.
 
Jed Mercurio is a former hospital physician and Royal Air Force officer, having originally planned to specialise in aviation medicine.

Jimmy Mulville was one of the founders of Hat Trick Productions in 1986. Since then, he’s overseen its growth into one of the country's leading producers of popular and award-winning comedy, drama, entertainment and digital media. He has a proven track record of identifying, developing and nurturing the best new writing and on-screen talent in the UK. His success spans a 30-year career; from long-running hits Whose Line is it Anyway?  (the first UK show sold to the US), Have I Got News For You  and Father Ted  to recent shows such as Episodes  starring Matt LeBlanc, Flack  starring Anna Paquin, Kate & Koji  starring Brenda Blethyn and Jimmy Akingbola and Channel 4’s award-winning hit Derry Girls.
 
Mulville first collaborated with Jed Mercurio on the critically acclaimed medical drama Bodies,  and after their second collaboration on another brilliantly conceived medical drama, Critical,  they came together to form Hat Trick Mercurio (HTM).
 
HTM is already enjoying success with new writing talent and compelling storytelling; alongside Mercurio, Mulville was Executive Producer on Bloodlands,  a four-part BBC drama soon to hit British screens. He’s also EP on Trigger Point,  an exciting new drama about a female bomb disposal officer working in London.
 
In 1999 Jimmy received the BAFTA Award for Outstanding Creative Contribution to Television. He is a Fellow of the Royal Television Society and received an honorary doctorate from the University of Liverpool.

Mark Redhead was a journalist and a documentary director before turning to drama. His productions range from the Bafta winning Murder of Stephen Lawrence, Bloody Sunday,  winner of the Golden Bear at Berlin, RTS winning series Bodies,  and Bafta nominated The Secret.

Lucy McNally is Head of Development, and in-house Story Producer for HTM TV. Since joining HTM, Lucy has worked as Script Editor on Trigger Point Series 1, before stepping up to be Story Producer on the soon-to-be released second series of Trigger Point. She also worked as Story Producer on another HTM thriller – Payback - set to hit ITV screens shortly - Payback starring Morven Christie and Peter Mullan. Prior to relocating to London, Lucy worked as a journalist for ABC News in Australia for over a decade.
 
Lucy works alongside Jed to develop the HTM slate, identifying both emerging and experienced writers that can bring us bold, fresh, compelling ideas. She’s more than happy to have a chat or call about a new idea or a must-read script.

Madonna joined HTM in 2020 as a freelance producer on Frank & Joe Cottrell Boyce’s Stephen for ITV before becoming an in-house Executive Producer. Her previous producing credits include Black Mirror and The Stranger for Netflix, Come Home, Silent Witness, Long Walk To Finchley for BBC and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man for Sky.
 
In 2013 she was an Executive Producer at Sky Commissioning overseeing the Playhouse dramas, The Smoke and Talking to the Dead as well as various developments.
 
Her work has achieved wins and nominations at the BAFTAs, Grammy’s, RTS Awards, Broadcast Awards and South Bank Awards, including wins at various film festivals.

Daniel joined HTM from Two Brothers Pictures, where he was Head of Development and then Executive Producer. His credits there include THE TOURIST Season 2, BOAT STORY, and DINOSAUR, the pilot of which he produced with Sarah Hammond.
 
He has previously worked at Merman, 42 M&P and Sky Drama, with credits including feature film HERSELF (dir: Phyllida Lloyd), which premiered at Sundance, and WATERSHIP DOWN for Netflix/BBC. He started his career on reception at The Agency, where he went on to assist Bethan Evans.

Jessica is Director of Production and Executive Producer for HTM Television and Hat Trick Productions.
 
She started her career in casting, and then moved up through production in a variety of genres for independent companies, the BBC and ITV.
 
She first worked at Hat Trick as a freelancer in 1997, joining as Joint Head of Production in 2004 where she and Laura Djanogly were pioneers of job-sharing at a senior level in the television industry. She oversees HTM’s production slate from development to delivery, and is an Executive Producer on HTM’s hit ITV series Trigger Point.

Roya started her career in television at BBC Comedy where she was a development assistant before moving into production on the BBC Three hit, This Country.  She then transitioned into drama beginning as a script intern and working her way up to in-house Script Editor at Tiger Aspect; there, she worked across multiple developments and productions, including the C4 series, Adult Material,  written by Lucy Kirkwood.
 
As a producer, she now works across both Hat Trick and HTM, developing comedy, drama and particularly shows which blur the line between the two genres.

Sophia’s love of storytelling has driven a 15-year career in drama and comedy, nurturing a range of dynamic new talent from all over the UK. Her training in psychology laid the foundation of a love of characters (although she is adamant, she doesn’t put theory to practice in day to day life!)
 
Growing up in Manchester, her career started in theatre; she set up two theatre companies that led to her meeting and working with Chris Morris on Four Lions. Her love of theatre has taken her to leading in various literary departments, such as West Yorkshire Playhouse and The Royal Exchange Manchester. She also ventured into the world of Radio Drama for the BBC, which was a fantastic training ground for the world of continuing drama; Sophia went on to script and story edit on EastEnders, Emmerdale and script produce and produce on Holby City.
 
She has also worked further afield and created a new TV and radio drama series with BBC Media Action in Bangladesh, where she trained new writers on a continuing medical drama series and trained up the local crew in producing high end content in Dhaka. The medical series is still on air.
 
Sophia has been an Executive Producer for children’s and YA content at the BBC, working across the entire in-house slate, including some of her favourite shows from when she was growing up in the north.
 
Sophia moved into development roles at various independent production companies, sourcing new writing talent, securing original IP, and working ideas from the ground to secure commissions across various broadcasters and networks. She is passionate about regional voices and telling stories from worlds in which are still underrepresented, something which she doesn’t take lightly and plays a crucial part in any role that she takes on.
 
Sophia joined the team at HTM Television in early 2023 and is thrilled to be using her contacts within talent and agent circles to be driving bold new ideas for the screen under Jed Mercurio’s leadership. When she isn’t in a writers room brainstorming a dark comedy or exciting new thriller, she can usually be found exploring various music festivals across the globe or on a dance floor!

Zephy started her career in production, working on And Then There Were None (Mammoth Screen), The Durrells (Sid Gentle) and The Crown (Left Bank Pictures), before catching the script bug. As a freelance script editor, she worked on Bloodlands (HTM), Stay Close (Red Production Company), and most recently, Trigger Point and DI Ray (HTM).
 
As an in-house script editor, Zephy has been working on Bloodlands S2, as well as being part of the development team.

Stephanie joined HT/HTM as their Scripted Development Assistant through the 2022/23 Channel 4 Production Trainee Scheme. She has a background in biochemistry having worked in a research lab and a hospital lab. Making the jump from lab work to scripted TV was a strange one but with her passion for storytelling and TV it made perfect sense.
 
Like everyone, she grew up on a wide variety of TV shows but the genre bending ones with messy characters steal her heart.
 
In her spare time you will find Stephanie reading, writing and playing dress up.

Rhys started his career in drama on the reception of Kudos in 2017 before becoming assistant script editor on Tin Star Series 2. He moved to BBC Studios in 2018 working as script coordinator and assistant script editor for EastEnders. In 2020, he took the opportunity to study a masters after getting into London Film School, learning as much as possible about developing film & TV.

He joined HTM in 2023 as development coordinator having been a fan of their work. He is a keen viewer of film and TV, bordering on nerd territory. You’ll often catch him at the cinema on weekend mornings watching literally whatever's on.

He loves reading thrilling action, emotional drama, and gripping investigation procedurals.

Lottie joined HTM Television as PA to Jed Mercurio and the HTM Team in June 2022.
 
Prior to this Lottie worked in the automotive industry. She has worked on the whole in television including ITV Studios in entertainment and then in drama at Tall Story Pictures as a PA and in development.
 
Lottie has also worked in sports production, publishing, consulting, legal and business affairs.
